About Windrush
A garden with three self-catering cottages, a little way out of Hogsback village, on the escarpment edge, up in the clouds.
The place
Windrush belongs to Geneva and Darrin Buttner. The garden runs from a sunny fynbos bed at the gate, up a drive of hydrangeas and azaleas, past established Pinot Noir vines and the dam, to old oaks and a stand of redwoods. The three cottages sit in it: De-vine View, the original thatched house above the vines; EverGreen Lodge among the oaks; and The Bird House in the orchard.
Looked after on site
Windrush is managed by Fred and Debbie, who live on the property. They meet you when you arrive and are a message away during your stay, for firewood, directions, or anything that needs fixing.
